PHSC 1401 (4-3-2) Physical Science I

A lab-oriented investigation into the nature of solid matter and the physical universe, emphasizing the necessity to ask questions and the importance of scientific hypothesizing. The course includes the study of laws regarding mechanics, matter, heat, energy, and wave motion. The study of topics in the geological realm also may be included. The course is designed for the non-science major. Lab fee.

PHSC 1402 (4-3-2) Physical Science II

A lab-oriented investigation into the nature of solid matter and the physical universe, emphasizing the necessity to ask questions and the importance of scientific hypothesizing. The course includes the study of electricity and magnetism, light, energy, atomic and nuclear physics, and relativity. Topics in the astronomical realm may also be studied. The course is designed for the non-science major. Lab fee.

Requisites: Note: PHSC 1401 is not a requisite for PHSC 1402.
