GR MACC

Program Description

The Master of Arts in Christian Counseling is a non-licensure 36-hour graduate program designed to provide Christ-centered education to prepare servant leaders for the practical ministry of Christian counseling. The program provides both a theological and counseling foundation, enabling the student to incorporate biblical principles into a counseling ministry. The program is designed for graduates who plan to counsel in the local church, denominational agencies, and ministry-based organizations.

Additional Program Information

In addition to previously stated admission requirements, the following program-specific requirements must be met:

  • Admission Requirements for DBU Graduate Ministry Degrees in the Graduate School of Ministry

    • Applicants are required to have a staff member or church official from their church submit the "Church Membership Recommendation" form that is included in the application.

    • Since Dallas Baptist University is an unapologetically evangelical and Christ-centered institution, applicants are required to affirm their agreement with the following beliefs: The Old and New Testaments of the Bible alone are the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, and infallible Words of God. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the same substance and equal in power and glory. Salvation from sins is only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is Savior and Lord.
